This is the rather sad centre of Princetown, a derelict building dating from 1905 on a demolition site, opposite the tourist information centre and Image It was built by Albert Bolt as a family home; they owned the now-demolished Bolt's shop which adjoined it on the right, and which "catered for every need" (http://www.virtuallydartmoor.org.uk/visit-princetown1.html and http://www.virtuallydartmoor.org.uk/princetown/transcripts/Memory_Lane/audio02_cribbetts_bolts.pdf ).
