This wintry scene of people enjoying themselves in the snow reminds me of both the matchstick characters in an L S Lowry painting and the snowbound scenes of Pieter Breughel the Elder. This slope, next to the Red Cross Hall in Tring is a favourite location for tobogganning whenever there's a decent fall of snow. It doesn't quite provide the majestic sweep that Tring Park can offer (see Image]) - but is a lot quicker to get to for most people in Tring.
