A train on the Thameslink route approaching Elephant & Castle station in inner south London. These trains are equipped to operate both where there is third rail electrification (here) and where the electric power is provided through overhead cables (further north on the route). In the background are the tower blocks at Barbican and the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral.
