The Grade II-listed Ritz Bingo Hall on South Street at its junction with Coronation Street, seen from outside the Co-operative supermarket with Rutland Mill in the distance. It was built as The Ritz Cinema in typical late-1930s "Odeon" style by Reginald Cooper of Nottingham in 1938. Much of the original interior remains unspoilt including much of the art deco plaster work. The original "Circle" seating has survived, as have the offices and the projection suite.
