The Church of England church faces Gloucester Road at the junction of Avonmouth Road and Richmond Terrace. Building of the first church on this site began in 1893 although it was not completed until 1934. The church was seriously damaged by fire in the Second World War. When rebuilt in 1957 it was reduced in size.
