Lynt was formerly a detached portion of Coleshill parish (Berkshire) surrounded by Inglesham (Wiltshire), to which parish it was united in 1883; it traces its history back to Domesday. http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=62760 Lynt Farm now specialises in polo ponies and the Lynt Polo Club has its home there. The farmhouse is a Grade II Listed building. http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-318499-lynt-farmhouse-inglesham- The tree in front of it is an evergreen oak.
