The building is shown in Image This may be a date stone indicating that the building was erected in the 50th year of the reign of Queen Victoria, ie 1887, although to me the style looks to be Edwardian rather than late Victorian; unfortunately, the modern bank and shop fronts on the ground floor have obliterated whatever was there originally.
