Plaza Cinema

The Plaza cinema was opened and closed on 2 September 1939, the day war broke out.3 weeks later it opened again. In 1943 it became part of the Odeon Theatre group, in 1967 Classic Cinemas took over followed by the Cannon Group in 1986. The Plaza Cinema is now operated by a charity and a team of unpaid volunteers, a true "community cinema".
