Opened in 1859 by the London & South Western Railway on its Portsmouth-Guildford 'Direct' line. View north towards Godalming and Guildford. The line was electrified in 1937 and the station building dates from 1975 when it replaced its Victorian predecessor. Out of view to the left was a single platform for the Longmoor Military Railway 1933-1969, still extant in 2025 - see Image
