Wellesley House is Camden Council's name for this older block of flats but an original sign on the side of the building (just visible above the grey car) says Wellesley Buildings. Birch, far right, is a very bad choice as a street tree. Light-demanding, it is already leaning away from the shade of buildings; it casts surprisingly heavy shade and makes a mess all year round from fallen twigs, catkins, scales, seeds and leaves.
