This was the first of the six Stadler Variotram vehicles delivered to the system in 2012 to cope with the over-crowding and to operate a new route 4 from the Therapia Lane stop to Elmers End. The garish livery is confined to this one vehicle and is a special advertisement for Croydon in recognition of the local Council having part funded the new Stadler trams. Image
