Former GWR 0-4-0ST on Gwili Railway at Bronwydd Arms, 1992

Acquired by the heritage Gwili Railway, but currently working on Bryan Nicholl's private siding at Gotherington (Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway), this locomotive was only masquerading as BR No. 1144, an 0-4-0T which had been until 9/48 GWR No. 974, built by Hawthorn Leslie in 1909 for the Swansea Harbour Trust and withdrawn by BR in 1/60! This engine was in fact 'Olwen', a Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns 0-4-0T No. 7058 of 1942, used by the Gwili Railway as a 'Thomas the Tank'.
