The Castle Street junction on the left is where the A40 High Street behind the camera becomes the A40 Kings Road ahead. The corner premises, 1 Kings Road, is an estate agents' office. A green-painted depiction of a two-handled saw on the wall above the doorway suggests a different former usage.
