Postbox at Southmead Cottage, near Burley, New Forest

This area NE of Burley is mostly plantations, but there are a few scattered dwellings and this postbox must be intended for them, as well as any tourists that come cycling past. The wooden posts or "dragon's teeth" are found throughout the Forest as a way of preventing large vehicles from parking on the verges.
