Opened in 1847 by the Newcastle & Berwick Railway, later part of the North Eastern Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1958 and completely in 1962. View north from the level crossing towards Alnmouth and Berwick upon Tweed. The platforms have long gone but the station building was extant and in use as a private residence when this image was taken.
