Looking northwards towards Market Square. The buildings on the left are the timber framed Old Farmhouse and Steamer Cottages respectively both former wealden hall houses, with the latter having been given false brick fronts sometime in the 18th century. The buff coloured portion further up is also part of the same former building and was once a pub called the Steamer Inn but since 1985 was the first shop of the Steamer Trading Cookshop which still retails from the spot today.
