Built around 1968 by the West Riding County Council Highways and Bridges Department, the bridge looks a little untidy, with the fascia panels removed at the 'half-joints'. This will have been done deliberately by the maintaining engineers of Doncaster Borough Council in order to readily monitor the condition of these vulnerable parts.
