View northward, towards Ryde (and Bembridge): ex-Isle of Wight Railway Ryde Pierhead - Ventnor line, closed 18/4/66 beyond Shanklin and the rest electrified and worked with redundant London Underground trains. Until 21/9/53 a branch ran from a bay on the Down side to Bembridge.
