There are some comparatively small radii curves at this junction, where the line to the right goes to Croydon, the line to the left goes to New Addington, and the line towards the photographer heads off towards Beckenham Junction and Elmers End. The lines to the latter two destinations make use of the trackbed of the old London Brighton & South Coast and South Eastern Joint Railway's Woodside and South Croydon line. This is the view from the Sandilands bridge.
