The little white cottage on the far side of the Grand Union Canal near to Image] is down a little lane called "Ship Lane". It used to sell provisions for passing narrow boats, but I'm not sure whether it still does as my recollection of this dates back more than ten years. I also think that going back even further this may have been a pub called "The Ship" - but I'm only basing this on the name of the lane and the general appearance of the building. If anyone can confirm or deny this hypothesis, do please advise us. [Edit 2015] I have now confirmed that it is indeed the former "Ship Inn" - see Image] for more information.
