View northward, towards Chesterfield, Sheffield etc., also Matlock (and formerly Buxton and Manchester by the Peak Line): ex-Midland main lines north from Derby. Cf. Image], which shows the station in its 'pre-Beeching' condition, much more in keeping with the town; only local stopping trains now call here.
