Finished in 1598 for Richard Infield and his bride Katherine Compton. The most notable owner was William Robinson, a world renowned gardener, who brought the Manor and 1000 acres in 1884. Since early 2010 the new owners have restored the manor to its former glory along with the walled garden that now produces some of the food served at the hotel and restaurant.
