The Moat, near the western edge of Thursley National Nature Reserve, is largely surrounded by conifers. Here, looking NW across the pond, silver birches are seen at the water's edge. The temperature was close to zero, with some thin ice on the pond's surface (seen bottom right and along the shore, far left). Photo taken in very still conditions at about 3pm.
