This golf club is the fourth oldest golfing organisation in the world, tracing its history back to 1761, when the game was played on the links at Bruntsfield. The Society moved to Musselburgh in 1876, and to this site at Cramond in 1898. More details at http://www.bruntsfieldlinks.co.uk/ The gate is flanked by a pair of attractive wrought iron gateposts in a spiral design.
