Situated in the Main Street, this TE has the code MYHUG and provides telephone and broadband services to 306 residential and 23 non-residential premises in Huggate plus Fridaythorpe and Thixendale nearby. The K6 telephone box adjacent to it would indicate that the TE dates back to the GPO era when it was and still is common for a telephone box/kiosk to be positioned either in front of or by the TE. To the left of the door is a notice that says "Do not park directly outside the kiosk (Request from Parish Council)". It could have added that only BT Openreach vehicles should be parked in front of the TE. On the door is a notice mentioning that the TE is S4 alarmed whilst a BT warning notice can be seen to the right of the small window. This TE has (01377) 288xxx numbers, the (01377) referring to the Driffield group of seven TEs, and its postcode is YO42 1YQ.
