View westward at the site of Carlton-on-Trent station - to the right. While my BMW 520 waits to cross, a London-bound IC125 tears past on the ex-GNR section of the ECML between Retford and Newark. The ECML has not yet been electrified, but this signalbox was obviously a new one, erected since the station was closed - to passengers on 2/3/53, goods on 1/12/55.
