My first action to 'free' the frozen-in swan Image was to feed it my last cheese sandwich. This I achieved by sliding it over the ice from my position on the shore. The swan arose and took the 'bait'. If it had indeed been trapped by the ice then it only needed a small incentive to break free. Despite now being reduced to a single chocolate biscuit I retired a happy man.
