One of the oldest buildings in Perth which dates from the 14th Century. It featured in Sir Walter Scott's novel, "The Fair Maid of Perth" as the home of Catharine Glover, 'the most beautiful young woman of the city or the vicinity'. She was named from the trade she practised and indeed the house was used by the Guild of Glovers from 1629-1800.
