A 2000 MW coal burning power station built in the 1960s with four turboalternators and eight hyperbolic cooling towers. The site now includes low Nox combustors, flue gas desulphurisation (on units 3 & 4) and a pilot plant for carbon capture. People forget (or just don't know) what an awful lot of really brutish infrastructure is required to ensure the light comes on when you flick the switch. Don't get me started...
