At around 300 feet high, the park commands a fine prospect over the surrounding areas. Beyond the three oaks (and unidentified conifer) are the suburban roofs of Norbury and Streatham Vale. The house and its park were bought by Croydon Corporation in 1926. The park covers some 32 acres and is on English Heritage's Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest.
