This view was taken from the path along Geldeston Dyke. The Garden House, located in Big Row, once used to be a brewery and a pub. Its first licensee was John Balls who is listed in 1850 as a grocery dealer and his sales in the final year of trading are given as totalling 37 3/8 barrels of beer. In the late 1930s the pub was closed as being uneconomic. The name can still be seen in stone work at the front of the house > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3237812.
