The clock tower is located on the eastern side of Image (see that picture for further context), and stands beside the junction of Neilston Road and Stock Street. At one time, Stock Street extended only westwards from Neilston Road; its later extension, to the east of Neilston Road, was originally called New Stock Street. The clock is dated 1887 on each of its faces: Image
