Bulls Head

The Bulls Head (or Bull's Head, as written on the upper floor signage) at 13 Market Place dates from the 1730s. The present building was built in the early 19th century, pre-dating the 1861 Market Hall. Orators such as Richard Cobden (MP for Stockport in 1841) spoke from the first floor window to crowds below in the Market Place. Image
