Viewed from opposite the Black Dog pub. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3229721 Nearest the camera are 47 and 45 Church Street, a pair of houses dating from the 17th century, perhaps earlier, refaced in the middle of the 19th century. The three-storey house on the right, 43 Church Street, dates from the early 19th century. The houses were grade II listed in October 1954.
