The owner told me that it dates from 1634. Currently undergoing refurbishments in wood, including new floors etc following a flood, when the River Rea came up over its banks and flooded lower lying parts of the property to a depth of around 30 cms - a rare event locally, where the Rea hasn't flooded so catastrophically in living memory (at least 50 years or so).
