There is a wealth of road and railway memorabilia on display at Bridgend Garage, the premises of W.J. Rees and Son, near the junction of the A482 and A40 in Llanwrda. Among the items in view are enamel signs showing Shellmex at 1/4 (one and fourpence in pre-decimal currency) and Fill up with R.O.P motor spirit. Though some older motorists may remember it jocularly referred to as Rotten Old Petrol, the initials stood for Russian Oil Products, a brand of petrol imported from the Soviet Union. Also in view, centre right, is a small yellow railway milepost.
