Ford At Debenham

This ford on Stoney Lane runs along the River Deben and is by far the longest ford I have so far discovered measuring a good half mile. The river bed forms the road and is a smooth sandy bottom. At the time of my visit a local man told me the post van routinely used the ford and he used to cross country run down it as a school boy.
