This office is controlled by Highways Agency officers who inspect heavy weight lorries before they cross the Dartford Bridge (Queen Elizabeth II Bridge). Cyclists heading to Kent can also wait here (after making a phone call on the yellow phone on the office) for a passing Highways Agency car to be taken over the Bridge. In the background, on the left is the traffic on the A282 (the only road section of the M25). The slip road is only used by permitted Highway Agency vehicles).
