The Montpellier opened here in July 2011. It is a brasserie, bar, gallery and cafe at 1-3 Montpellier Terrace. The building dates from 1810. It was a boarding house with Cheltenham's first spa well in its gardens, which was later covered and still lies beneath the building. In the late 19th century the building was converted to a dressmakers & boutique shop. From 1925-2011 the building was split into two businesses. There was a bank (latterly HSBC) on the ground floor and a cafe on the upper floor.
