Seaforde is an estate village. The "big house" Seaforde House is still occupied by the Forde family, who are descended from Nicholas Forde of Dunboyne County Meath, the Deputy Victualler for Elizabeth I's army in Ireland. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seaforde
