A view of initial stages of the construction of a care home being built on a large triangular plot of land between Oak Street on the right and Wesley Street on the left. The popular "Gladstone" pub on Loscoe Road, that hosts the weekly "Carrington Triangle Folk Club" is situated beyond the terraced houses in the centre of the picture. This end of Oak Street is very close to the back of the former Carrington Post Office, a victim of the 2007/08 cut-backs.
