Looking from Radcliffe Bridge towards the rear elevation of the old Radcliffe Times building in Church Street West (Image]). The Radcliffe Times newspaper began in 1897. These offices have stood empty since it was merged with the Bury Times Group from whose Bury offices it now operates. This rear elevation of the building descends two floors to reach the level of the River Irwell. See also Image], Image] and Image] for views of the front elevation. In 2003, as part of the "Re-Inventing Radcliffe" Development Strategy, it was prposed that the building be converted as a base for CITE, the public art commissioning agency but it hasn't happened. http://www.urbed.coop/sites/default/files/Re-inventing%20Radcliffe%20Report.pdf "Re-inventing Radcliffe" (pdf file)
