Behind the surviving base of the memorial in the foreground are fragments of its top, as well as parts of other nearby memorials (this was perhaps storm damage). On this side, the inscription commemorates Alexandra Hamilton Bruce, who died in 1916, aged 52; as recorded on the far side, her husband, Alexander Wilson Waddell, died in 1942, aged 82.
