Until 1967 this was the ex-Caledonian main line from Perth to Aberdeen (cf. Image]), but in 1974 conveyed goods only, just to Forfar. The view is up Strathmore, with the Sidlaw Hills to the right and the Hills of Alyth and perhaps Cat Law (2,106 ft.) on the far horizon to the left.
