These are Rolle Estate cottages, and date from 1873. Concern for this terrace is expressed in http://www.eastdevon.gov.uk/dc_report_091208_beer.pdf : the "Largely unspoilt frontage retaining significant period detail ... and ... important building group, of similar dates, character or frontage detail ... is now being spoilt by insensitive work, poor quality pointing of stone walls and stone frontages and PVCu windows and porches".
