Well, that's what it was made for but it unsurprisingly proved popular with people wishing to walk without getting their shoes muddy. After an unfortunate incident in which a dog was killed in a collision with a bike pedestrians were given right of way and a speed limit of 10mph imposed. There is a sign on the road saying that the 20mph limit also applies to cyclists but there isn't one saying the 10mph limit also applies to runners.
