John Nike OBE is a Bracknell-based leisure and hotels entrepreneur. He used to own the Thames Valley Tigers basketball team. With his family, he is worth £92 million according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2006. He came to Bracknell from Devon in 1964 and his fortune began when he acquired 60 acres (240,000 m2) of land in the town in 1969. He gave his name to the John Nike Leisuresport Complex (home of the Bracknell Bees ice hockey team and mentioned in the film Ali G Indahouse) and the John Nike Bracknell Ski and Snowboard Centre. Mr Nike lives at Murrell Hill at Popeswood in Binfield. (source Wiki.)
