Towan House and Gretel Cottage were formerly a house and its single-storey outbuilding http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1171063&searchtype=mapsearch . They date from the C17. The triangle is at the junction of lanes to Broadclyst (left), Stoke Post (right), and Killerton (behind camera).
