Not much headroom for passengers, but then there are no trains any more. Once this bridge allowed the old North Somerset Railway to pass underneath the A37 Wells Road and down to the coalfields round Pensford and Radstock. The line was opened in 1873 and closed in 1968, whereupon the tracks were ripped up and the land levelled to remove most of the traces.
