"This is for a remembrance of Mrs Eleanor Parker, widow, daughter to William Waller of Grove Bridge esq. Wife to Thomas Parker of Ratton Esq with whom she lived 52 years. She survived 20 years when in a quiet minde lifting her hands up to heaven, said Oh Lord receave my soule. She died 26 February 1598 and was here interred with her beloved husband as she desired. She had three children, one daughter that died an infant and two sonnes Nicolas and John now living both knights all her husband's life. She agreed with his dispositions to spende with great plenty and bountie in hospitalletee. She was wise temperate, milde and gentell in behaviour, very charitable pious and devout. To conclude for goodnes her life and death deserve perpetuall memory. She was 83 yeares of age"
